Doors for Jamaican homes & projects

Customer care

Returns & refunds

DoorsJA sources most doors to order from Jamaican suppliers after you accept your quotation. This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel or something isn’t right.

Draft — this policy is awaiting review by DoorsJA and its legal adviser before launch. It does not affect your statutory rights.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any rights you have under Jamaican consumer protection law (including the Consumer Protection Act) or any other law that applies to you. If this policy and the law differ, the law applies.

Before you accept a quotation

You can decline a quotation or simply let it expire. Nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund.

Cancelling before we order from our supplier

If you’ve paid but we haven’t yet placed the order with our supplier, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll cancel the order and refund the amount you paid.

Cancelling after we’ve ordered from our supplier

Once we’ve bought your doors from a supplier, we’ll still try to help. Whether we can cancel depends on whether the supplier accepts the return. If they do, we’ll refund you, less any return or restocking cost the supplier charges us, which we’ll explain and evidence before you decide. If they don’t, we’ll discuss the options with you.

Custom-made or specially ordered doors

Doors made to your measurements or specification, or specially ordered for you, usually can’t be resold. We’ll tell you in your quotation if a door falls into this category before you accept it. This does not affect your rights if a door is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect doors

  • Check your doors on delivery and report any visible damage or wrong items as soon as possible, with photos.
  • Please don’t fit, cut or finish a door you believe is damaged or incorrect.
  • We’ll arrange a replacement, repair or refund in line with your statutory rights.

See Delivery Information for what to check on arrival.

Installation concerns

If you booked installation through DoorsJA and are unhappy with the work, tell us as soon as possible with photos and details. We’ll review it with the installer and arrange for any agreed remedial work. Your statutory rights in relation to services are not affected.

How to request a refund or report a problem

Use our contact form and choose “An existing order”, giving your order reference, what’s wrong, and photos where relevant. We’ll reply with next steps.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method where possible. The time it takes to reach you depends on the payment method and your bank. We’ll confirm the amount and method when we approve a refund.
