Legal
Terms & conditions
Draft — this policy is awaiting review by DoorsJA and its legal adviser before launch. It does not affect your statutory rights.
1. About these terms
These terms apply between you and DoorsJA [legal entity name and registered address to be confirmed]. Nothing in them limits rights you have under Jamaican consumer protection law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
2. Website prices and information
Door prices on the website are guide prices for the door only. They don’t include delivery or installation. Because we source doors from suppliers after you order, prices, specifications and availability are confirmed in your quotation. Photos are for illustration; finishes can vary slightly.
3. Order requests and quotations
- Submitting an order request doesn’t create a contract and doesn’t commit you to pay.
- We’ll send you a quotation showing each door, delivery, any installation, other charges, discounts, applicable taxes, the total and an expiry date.
- We may revise a quotation before you accept it, for example if a supplier’s price or stock changes. Each revision replaces earlier versions.
- A quotation doesn’t reserve stock unless we say so in writing.
- An expired quotation can’t be accepted; we can re-check availability and send an updated one.
4. When a contract is formed
A contract is formed when you accept the current quotation and we confirm your order. If we need to change the quotation after you’ve accepted it, your acceptance is cancelled and we’ll ask you to review the new version — we won’t charge you a different amount without your agreement.
5. Payment
Payment is due after you accept a quotation, for the exact accepted amount. Online payment isn’t available yet; we’ll contact you to arrange payment until it launches. Your order is treated as paid only once we’ve received confirmed payment.
6. Sourcing your doors
After payment we order your doors from our supplier. If a supplier can’t fulfil the order, we’ll tell you promptly and offer an alternative or a full refund of what you paid for the affected items.
7. Delivery
We’ll agree a delivery date with you. Dates depend on supplier availability and location, so they’re estimates unless we confirm otherwise. Please check your doors on arrival and report visible damage or wrong items as soon as possible. See Delivery Information.
8. Installation
Installation is optional and quoted separately. It’s carried out by independent installers whom DoorsJA arranges. We confirm the price and appointment with you before booking. Where DoorsJA arranges installation for you, we remain responsible to you to the extent the law requires, and we’ll help resolve any problem with the work.
9. Cancellations, returns and refunds
See our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please contact us with your order reference. We’ll acknowledge your complaint and work with you to put things right. You may also contact the Consumer Affairs Commission of Jamaica.
11. Liability
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We don’t exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. [To be confirmed by legal review, including terms for customers outside Jamaica.]
